Can I Trust That God Really Wants Me?
There is a difference between being allowed in the room and being wanted in the room.
Sometimes people tolerate you.
Sometimes people include you because they have to.
And if you've experienced enough rejection, you can eventually start believing that God feels the same way.
But listen to what God says:
“I have called you by name; you are mine.” — Isaiah 43:1
God doesn't just know that you exist.
He knows your name.
First Peter says you are chosen.
Think about that.
Before somebody overlooked you...
before somebody rejected you...
before somebody unfollowed you...
before somebody decided you weren't enough...
God chose you.
Your identity isn't built on whether everybody wants you.
It is built on the reality that God does.
Take a minute.
Where have I been trying the hardest to prove that I belong?
What would change if I truly believed:
“I belong to God”?
Talk to God.
Father, thank You for choosing me. Help me stop chasing acceptance from people when I already have belonging in You. When rejection hurts, remind me that rejection cannot cancel what You have spoken over my life. I belong to You. Amen.
Live it out.
Write Isaiah 43:1 somewhere you'll see it this week.
When insecurity hits, say:
“He knows me. He called me. I am His.”
Who gets to define me?
Not my mistakes.
Not my friends.
Not social media.
Not my feelings.
Not my circumstances.
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.” — Isaiah 43:1
