Can I Trust God With the Real Me?
Sometimes we're afraid that if people really knew everything about us, they might not want us anymore.
So we hide.
We hide mistakes.
We hide insecurity.
We hide questions.
We hide pain.
And eventually we can start hiding from God too.
But here's the problem:
God already knows.
And He still invites you closer.
John says that those who receive Jesus are given the right to become children of God.
Not employees.
Not visitors.
Not people trying to earn their way into the family.
Children.
Romans 8 says nothing can separate us from the love of God found in Christ.
That means your worst moment doesn't suddenly surprise God.
You can bring Him the real you.
Your questions.
Your failures.
Your fears.
Your doubts.
God can handle the truth about you because He already knows the truth about you—and still loves you.
Take a minute.
Is there anything about myself I've been afraid to bring to God?
Why?
Talk to God.
Jesus, thank You that I don't have to pretend around You. You know every part of me and still invite me close. Help me believe that my identity is found in being Your child, not in being perfect. Amen.
Live it out.
Tell God something you've been afraid to say out loud.
No polished prayer.
Just honesty.
Who gets to define me?
Not my mistakes.
Not my friends.
Not social media.
Not my feelings.
Not my circumstances.
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.” — Isaiah 43:1
